Todays' Telemarketing Challenges - by Doug Frye

Todays' Telemarketing Challenges - by Doug Frye: "Once there was plenty of opportunity for loan originators to make calls to all consumers to create mortgage business. However, the introduction of the Do Not Call List, October 1, 2003 presents challenges to consider. The rule dictates that it is illegal for telemarketers to contact consumers that have placed their name and phone number on the National Do Not Call Registry. Exceptions to this rule are calls placed by charities, political organizations or telephone surveyors. Failure to comply can result in up to $11,000 per incident fine, ouch!

At this point, the challenges focus around conducting telemarketing or selling to consumers, not businesses who are not on the list, but exceptions to exist within the law."

Whistelblower's Freedom of Speech Trial in Mid East Democracy - by eileen fleming

Whistelblower's Freedom of Speech Trial in Mid East Democracy - by eileen fleming: "Jerusalem- During this reporter's March 2006 interview with Mordechai Vanunu, he stated, 'This administration tells me I am not allowed to speak to foreigners, the Media, and the world. But I do because that is how I prove my true humanity to the world. My freedom of speech trial began January 25, 2006 for speaking to the media, the same day as the Palestinian elections.'

Only three journalists were present to cover the first day of this historic case which continues on without MSM coverage.

Although 'freed' in April 2004, Mordechai Vanunu has been forbidden to leave Israel, forbidden to speak to media and to foreigners under the draconian restrictions of the Emergency Defense Regulations which were implemented first by Britain against Palestinians and Jews after World War II.

After WW II, Attorney Yaccov Shapiro, who later became Israel's Minister Of Justice, described the Emergency Defense Regulations which denies Vanunu the inalienable rights of freedom of speech and movement as 'unparalleled in any civilized country: there were no such laws in Nazi Germany.'[ N.S. Ateek, Justice and Only Justice p.34]

On February 22, 2006 in a Jerusalem court it was revealed that Israel had asked Microsoft to hand over all the details of Vanunu's Hotmail account before a court order had been obtained.

They did."

Proofing - A Critical Function Not to be Overlooked - by Pj Germain

Proofing - A Critical Function Not to be Overlooked - by Pj Germain: "Business people universally agree that mechanical mistakes detract from the professionalism of communications. However, those with proofreading responsibilities commonly experience real frustrations in producing error-free work. They typically identify certain specific obstacles to accurate proofreading.

1. Overlooking mistakes when proofreading
2. Making time for proofreading in a pressured environment
3. Lacking self-confidence in a reliable system
4. Providing helpful, non-critical proofreading support to others
5. Lacking certainty about acceptable guidelines.

In the rush and pressure of sending communications, writers are often tempted to skip the final proofreading step. They send it to their printer, and approve it without really proofing it. After all, if the content is clear, who will mind a few mechanical mistakes?"

Kris Kringle and the Credit Crisis: Why Christmas is Killing Your Credit - by Ian Hollander

Kris Kringle and the Credit Crisis: Why Christmas is Killing Your Credit - by Ian Hollander: "Along with the 5 frozen fruit cakes, 12 extra pounds of padding and another year of Uncle Elmer singing drunken Christmas Carols - the biggest thing thing that Americans share each Christmas is an alarming and ever-increasing amount of debt.

Did you know that the average American unsecured credit card debt is pushing 20,000 Dollars per household?
Ouch!

And invariably - while your debt load is going up - your credit score is heading in exactly the opposite direction.

Just because you pay your bills on time - does not guarantee you an above average credit score. I remember being rejected for a home loan several years ago - not because I had any delinquent marks on my credit - but rather because my debt to limit ratio was too high - and according to the mysterious algorithms created by the FICO mathematical model - the chances I would default on a further extension of credit were much higher."

The best Omega 3 sources - by David McEvoy

The best Omega 3 sources - by David McEvoy: "Most of us are now well aware that Omega 3 fatty acids are good for our health or at least we should be when we consider the amount of information being bombarded at us by the press, television, magazines and health-promoting leaflets. Supermarket shelves have a growing number of products claiming to have it, and even government health departments are telling us to eat more fish in order to get it, but what exactly, are the best sources of Omega 3?

First of all, it might help to have an understanding of what Omega 3 actually is. To put it very simply, Omega 3 is a family of essential fatty acids that we must have to survive, and they are Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). As we cannot synthesise these fatty acids in the body, we have to rely on our diet in order to get them. However, for various reasons, our diets are just not good enough anymore, and it is now estimated that a massive 85% of the population are not getting enough. This is particularly shocking when we consider that we need these fatty acids for our brain and our body to function properly on a daily basis."

I Won The Lottery - by Linda Dipman

I Won The Lottery - by Linda Dipman: "I couldn't breath, words were not coming out of my mouth. I silently read the numbers again, and again. Everything matched, I won the 3 million dollar lottery.

Fame, fortune, the American Dream! It all happened in the blink of an eye. I had achieved what everyone only dreams of. I have everything I want. I could finally relax for I had attained my life purpose. Or did I?

As a youth I was brought up to believe in the American dream. An image of a stately house with a white picket fence surrounding a yard with children playing gleefully under my watchful, motherly eye of protection.

A life that reflected a faith that shone brightly with service to the local Baptist church. A life proving my love for God and my choice to be an example for all those who would come to know Him through me.

I was in the midst of an imaginary world. This was not God's will for my life. He had a plan to teach me things that I would not have understood if I hadn't changed the path that I was traveling."

Heralds Of The Dawn, Explorers Of The Light - by Saleem Rana

Heralds Of The Dawn, Explorers Of The Light - by Saleem Rana: "All over the world, human beings seek the truth about the meaning of life. They do this in different ways but it is the spirit of their search which determines the quality of their findings. There are many degrees and variations of those who seek truth, a unusual brand of human beings who seek to understand the meaning of life on a fundamental level. These groups, for the most part, fall into two classes, science and religion. (And those who seek to interpret and present the meanings of these two groups are the artists.)

Many religions have two branches. There is the exoteric branch, where the basic ideas and the story of its founders and the various histories are recorded. Here too is the big book, the manual, that describes how to follow its teachings. The new comer is fascinated by it, believing it to be the book of truth, where the mystery of all creation is finally unveiled. The veteran either accepts the big book as it is or makes a few fresh interpretations. Those who belong to the exoteric group are large in number.

But many long-established religions also have a secret branch, where the interpretation is wholly different, more insightful, and often informed by experiences of personal revelation. This is the esoteric branch. This group is seldom organized. If it is, then you can only join through a personal invitation. The qualifications to join are not clear and what you may learn may be startlingly different from what is taught in the main religion. This group is often secretive because the main branch may often consider the new ideas heresy. As you can imagine, the members of this group are few in number."

3 Powerful Tips for Making 2007 Your Best Year Ever - by Tony Mase

3 Powerful Tips for Making 2007 Your Best Year Ever - by Tony Mase: "As 2006 draws to a close and 2007 is about to begin, I'd like to share with you three simple, yet powerful things you can do over the next couple of weeks that'll help make the coming new year your best year ever...

Here they are:

Tip #1 - Spend some time in gratitude.

Whatever you focus on expands in your life.

If you focus on lack...

That's *exactly* what will expand in your life...

Lack.

If you focus on abundance...

That's *exactly* what will expand in your life...

Abundance.

The practice of gratitude keeps you focused on the abundance you *already* have in your life and thus opens the door for *more* abundance to flow into your life.

Here's what I suggest you do...

Take out a pad of paper and a pen or pencil and make a list of everything you're grateful for...

And I do mean everything - absolutely *everything*!

As you make your list, keep this in mind...

If your life isn't all you'd like it to be right now...

There are a whole lot of people out there who'd gladly trade places with you!

So...

Be grateful for what you *already* have and have *faith* that that which you need and/or want will come to you when the time is right.

And...

While you're at it...

Don't forget to acknowledge the *source* of your *many* blessings.

Tip #2 - Spend some time on your 'vision'."

Forex Trading System - by Martin Chandra

Forex Trading System - by Martin Chandra: "Now you have decided that you are going to trade a particular security and you need to find a way of entering and exiting the market. So, how do you approach it, do you just jump in with a gut feeling or do you use some kind of system to help you make the decision.

We will look at a few ways traders decide on the best way to make a decision.

First there is just guessing which way the market is going to go. Now as surprising as it may seem there are many trader who do just that. They take a look at a chart or some news and then decide if they should buy or sell. If they make money consistently then it is hard to argue that this is the wrong way to
trade the market.

The problem I see with this type of trading is that it is almost impossible to reproduce results consistently. In other words the trader that trades by instinct can never really pass on his knowledge, as there is no clear rules that he applies to the market on a regular basis. I know a few trader who trade like this but unfortunately I don't know any who have gone the distance and are there year after year.

Traders who apply a method to their trading inevitably have better results. If you use the same criteria to each trade then you at least have a reference point from which to work. If you are losing you can then change specific things in you're decision making process in order to find the right criteria."

So You Think You Know Option Trading? - by William Smith

So You Think You Know Option Trading? - by William Smith: "We all know that many opportunities exist in Option Trading today. Wherever you turn, someone is waiting to inform you of the tremendous profits to be realized within the stock and the futures markets. Nevertheless, many people are unaware of the derivative trading possibilities that are available within and across several different markets.

Option Trading is just one of the leading many ways to participate in such type of secondary markets. And in contrast to the popular belief, this potential trading arena is not limited strictly to the practice of selling or writing options.
Option Trading is an important element of investing in markets, serving a function of managing risk and generating income too.

Contrasting to most other types of investments today, Option Trading provides a unique set of benefits to its clients. Not only does Option Trading provide an economical and effective means of hedging one's portfolio against adverse and unexpected price fluctuations, but it also offers a tremendous exploratory dimension to trading.

One of the foremost primary conveniences of Option Trading is that an option contracts enable a trade to be leveraged, allowing the trader to control the full value of an asset for a fraction of the actual cost. "

Seven Principles For Building A Better Life - by James Delrojo

Seven Principles For Building A Better Life - by James Delrojo: "I wonder how magnificent your life could be if you were to become all you could be. What if you were to tap into your full potential for success and happiness? Here are seven principles to help you do just that.

Principle 1: Accept Responsibility for Where You Are

Where you are today is the result of the choices you have made to this point in time. This includes the particular actions you have chosen to take and the particular actions you have chosen not to take. You are totally responsible for where you are and who you are.

The first step to building a better life is to accept that you are responsible for your current life. If you choose to blame your circumstances, your family, your spouse, the government, or any one or any thing else, for your present life then you will never have what it takes to change your life for the better.

Principle 2: Learn what you need to know"

Good Finish – Vital For Antiques - by Sarika Kabra

Good Finish – Vital For Antiques - by Sarika Kabra: "The antique Amish made furniture can never be “antique” in the real sense of the term. Time may make it old but as an old wine, Amish furniture betters with age. Good antique furniture that is coated with lasting finish will make for a better looking and durable article.

Antiques show your sense of appreciating the traditional values and if blended with modern makeover, it shows a person’s balanced approach to lifestyle. More than a style statement, a home with antique furniture reflects a balanced mindset of its residents."

Taking Stock Without Judgment - by Pat Brill

Taking Stock Without Judgment - by Pat Brill: "As the New Year approaches, it is a perfect time to reflect on the events, accomplishments, and disappointments of the past year. Taking stock of the past twelve months helps you to see what worked and what could be improved upon.

If you set resolutions at the beginning of the year, get out your list and start there. If not, take a few minutes to write down some of the changes you had hoped to make this past year; goals that may have been on your mind, but did not make it to a list, diary or calendar.

First, focus on the accomplishments of the year. If you were able to attain some of last year's goals, circle, star, or highlight them. A list of last year's goals is a good place to start, but it by no means encompasses all of the good news and good times of the year."

Take the Pressure Off: How to Set Realistic New Year's Resolutions - by Karen Fusco

Take the Pressure Off: How to Set Realistic New Year's Resolutions - by Karen Fusco: "It happens every year. When you sit down on New Year's Eve to jot down a few resolutions for the coming year, you realize many of them carried over from the year before. And the year before that. And the year before that.

Most of us have revolving resolutions, goals we set at the beginning of the year that we never get around to accomplishing – losing weight, getting a college degree, quitting smoking, running a marathon. Big stuff that we just can't seem to get done, but don't want to give up on either.

The advent of a new year is filled with promise and expectation; it's almost as if we get one giant fresh start. It is a liberating time, which lends itself to making resolutions that may not be realistic in the context of our lives.

It's not that you can't accomplish anything you want to, it's just that you have a better chance to attain goals this year if they are set in reality. Here are three tips to setting appropriate New Year's resolutions:"
